Joker, one of the villains in Batman franchise. In some ways, nothing makes him special in the comics, just a regular villain. But however, there was something special with him in Nolan’s The Dark Knight. An arrogant character, stories about scars, doing regular villain stuff, that’s all you know...But his speciality is the man who played the character: Heath Ledger.

To prepare for the role, Ledger lived alone in a hotel room for a month, formulating the character's posture, voice, and personality, and kept a diary, in which he recorded the Joker's thoughts and feelings. "There's a bit of everything in him. There's nothing that consistent," Ledger said, and added, "There are a few more surprises to him. Ledger was allowed to shoot and mostly direct the videos the Joker sends out as warnings. Each take Ledger made was different from the last. Nolan was impressed enough with the first video shoot that he chose to not be present when Ledger shot the video with a kidnapped reporter. That’s what makes Ledger’s Joker is one of a kind, actually becomes the “Heath Ledger’s Joker”. Unfortunately, he passed away a bit of time later to give us one of the best villains ever in cinema history.

 

 

 

"The impressive creatures that form the scenario of the Alice in Wonderland film were artistically sculptured in gold and diamonds in an extraordinary collection developed by H.Stern in partnership with Disney.

After a detailed study, H.Stern designers decided that the underworld of Tim Burton’s film would be their source of inspiration. Moving away from the obvious and from the well known characters of the story, they chose natural elements and spectacular creatures from Wonderland to give shape to five rings – pieces of art – that follow the intrinsic organic forms to the creative DNA of the brand..."

Cheshire Cat: Popularized by Lewis Carroll in the original Alice book, Cheshire gained a ring version. It was reproduced in detail in a small sculpture of gold dipped in blue enamel, and is seen stretched out on a bunch of gold and diamond branches. The golden cat’s smile received a special treatment and, as in the film, glows in the dark.

Topiary Garden: The film shows plants artistically cut out in topiary technique forming a magnificent garden. This scenario led the H.Stern designers to create a bird made of hundreds of golden leaves, soldered one by one and covered by green enamel, in delicate and precise craftsmanship in gold.

Living Flowers: The roses in Alice’s garden are now sculptured in Noble Gold, and thanks to the finish in enamel, gain a tone of dark purple, which contrasts with delicate buttons sprinkled with diamonds.

Mushroom Forest: The Forest of mushrooms through which Alice wanders in the film inspired the creation of enameled gold ring in colors and textures carefully chosen to represent the natural forms. In order to reproduce the tones used in the film, dozens of colors were tested until the ideal tone for each piece was achieved. The texture of the real toadstools is seen not only on the outside of the ring but on the inside also. Some are covered with diamonds.

Jabberwocky: The intriguing dragon that terrifies Wonderland gave origin to an impressive ring, with a gothic look in the style of Tim Burton. The body of the dragon is represented with black gold and diamonds on a double-band ring.
